SUMMARY: The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) is a federal law that sets minimum standards for most voluntarily established pension and health plans in private industry to provide protection for individuals in these plans.
SPEAKER'S BIO: Jack L. Townsend, Sr., Esquire of Jack L. Townsend, Sr. P.A. practices in the areas of Personal Injury; Alternative Dispute Resolution; Wrongful Death; Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect; Maritime Accidents; Slip and Fall; Medical Malpractice; Automobile Accidents and Injuries; and Dog Bites.
Mr. Townsend was born in Crawfordville, Florida. He obtained his B.S. from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Stetson University. Mr. Townsend has been serving the Tampa Bay area since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984.
