TBPA Membership Renewal - Deadline January 31st
Don't forget that the TBPA Membership Renewals for the year 2012 are due no later than January 31st. If you haven't already done so, please mail your completed renewal form with you check by this date. Attached is the Membership Renewal Form you may use for your convenience. TBPA Monthly Luncheon
Please join us for our January Monthly Luncheon held on Wednesday, January 18, 2011 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at The Tampa Club, 42th Floor, 101 E. Kennedy Blvd., in downtown Tampa. Our guest speaker will be Theodore A. Corless, Esq., of Corless Associates whose presentation will be on Sinkhole Litigation. Please see the attached Luncheon Notice and Reservation Form for further details. Be sure to RSVP your attendance to Leslie Matthews by Wednesday, January 11, 2011 by sending her an email confirming your attendance and mailing her your luncheon check.
For regular luncheons: Please note two significant changes: (1) The new Guest rate is $25* and (2) The Tampa Club will validate your parking ticket for a reduced price of $2.00 between the hours of 11:30 and 2:30.

TBPA 2011 Scholarships
The Tampa Bay Paralegal Association (“TBPA”) is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for various scholarships, including Student Scholarship, and Professional “PACE” Scholarships. We would like to recognize that our Sustaining Member, Bolter & Carr Investigations, Inc. is sponsoring two of these scholarships.
Please read the applications carefully and follow all instructions. Applications for all scholarships must be postmarked by October 31, 2011 to be considered for the awards.
The scholarships will be presented to the recipients at the TBPA Holiday Luncheon held in Tampa, Florida on December 14, 2011.

TBPA ProBono/Community Service Projects
During September and October, TBPA is accepting donations for the Make a Difference Day which will be held Saturday, October 22,2011. Items will be collected during TBPA's luncheons for distributing to Veterans in the Tampa Bay Area who need assistance. This is a true celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. TBPA is also extending the opportunity to those members who wish to participate on October 22nd to help distribute the items to the veterans. Please see the attached brochure with suggested lists of items for donation. For more information or to sign up for distributing the items on October 22nd, please contact Jan Brown , ProBono/Community Serivce Committee Chair.

TBPA Paralegal Mentors
TBPA Mentor Committee is working with the Hillsborough Community College to pair paralegal students with working paralegals for an interview by the students. If you want to participate as a Mentor in this program or if you'd like to be assigned to a Mentor, please contact Lydia Harrod. Also, you can download the application and provide it to the TBPA Mentor Committee.
TBPA Membership Benefits
