TOPIC: "HIPAA: How does it apply outside of

the Medical Institution?"

Most everyone one has heard the term “HIPAA”. But what is HIPAA, really? Does it have any application to what we do outside of the hospitals, doctors’ offices, or any medical institution? It most certainly does, and there are some serious consequences to not observing HIPAA.
