SPEAKERS:   Christina Taylor, Esquire of Fidelity National Title Group

TOPIC:  Ethically Closing the Deal

SUMMARY: During this hour, we'll explore the legal and ethical responsibilities closing agents face every day when closing real estate transactions.  We will look at loan documents and title documents from the closing agent's perspective, and consider disbursements with an eye for fraud and forgery.  Using numerous real life stories to keep you on the edge of your seat, we promise you won't sleep though this ethics credit!

TBPA reserves the right to change/substitute luncheon speakers, topics or entrées as necessary due to unexpected circumstances. Cancellations for paid-in-full reservations prior to the RSVP Deadline will be refunded, subject to a $2.00 administrative fee.  After the RSVP Deadline, no refunds will be provided and payment in full will be due regardless of attendance. Cancellation correspondence may be sent to luncheon@tbpa.org.

Parking: Please note that The Tampa Club validates parking in the Bank of America parking garage during lunchtime hours for the discounted $2.00 rate.  Please bring your parking ticket with you and have The Tampa Club Receptionist validate it for you.    

In addition, TBPA will be holding a 50/50 raffle to benefit Voices for Children.

SPEAKER: Christina Taylor, Esquire

SPEAKERS' BIO:  Christina Taylor is the Speaker and Education Specialist for Fidelity National Title Group based in Maitland, Florida.  She currently travels throughout Florida teaching FNTG agents by means of engaging and thought provoking training presentations.  She has extensive public speaking experience, specializing in subject relating to the title industry and real estate law, as well as topics with professional development and motivational themes.  Christina's responsibilities also include research, development and presentation of these presentations.  Prior to her training role, she served as Underwriting Counsel, providing underwriting support to agents and working to resolve issues associated with commercial and residential real estate closings.  She has been with FNTG since 2000.

Before joining FNTG, Christina practiced real estate law with a prominent law firm in Orlando.  She earned her law degree from the University of Florida, College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Christina is currently a member of the Florida Bar.  She is certified as an instructor for numerous accrediting agencies in Florida, including The Florida Bar and The Florida Department of Financial Services.  In addition to speaking at FNTG events, Christina gives presentations to numerous title industry associations and organizations throughout Florida.
