TOPIC: The U.S. Marshals Service: The Nation’s Oldest Federal Law Enforcement Agency
SUMMARY: Deputy U.S. Marshal Donald Exum will discuss the origin, duties, and responsibilities of the U.S. Marshal Service, including training and equipment, requirements for U.S. Marshals, changes to Service operations since 9/11, as well as the range of duties of the deputies he oversees as Judicial Security Inspector for the Middle District of Florida and current Tampa Court operations Supervisor. Cancellations for paid-in-full reservations prior to the RSVP Deadline will be refunded, subject to a $2.00 administrative fee. After the RSVP Deadline, no refunds will be provided and payment in full will be due regardless of attendance. Cancellation correspondence may be sent to luncheon@tbpa.org.
Parking: Please note that The Tampa Club validates parking in the Bank of America parking garage during lunchtime hours for the discounted $2.00 rate. Please bring your parking ticket with you and have The Tampa Club Receptionist validate it for you.

SPEAKER'S BIO: Deputy Exum is a USF graduate with 16 Years with the U.S. Marshals Service, first in Jacksonville, FL then Tampa. He has been assigned Court Operations, and spent years as both a full-time member of the Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, as the Judicial Security Inspector for the Middle District of Florida, and current Tampa Court Operations Supervisor. He oversees deputies assigned to Court Operations covering fugitive investigations, witness protection assignments, seizure of criminal assets, criminal & civil process serving, prisoner transport, courtroom security and other duties.
